NSA Trailing/Disaster/HRD Training

2025年6月22日（日曜日）Trailing/Disaster/HRD 訓練会を開催しました。気温の上昇を考慮しAM5:30 本社資材置き場に集合し訓練を開始した。Trailing unitは、市街地で各unitの課題に対しての基礎訓練とステップアップの設定訓練を行った。HRD unitは、前回の設定同様に土砂災害を想定したエリアと環境ごとのTFRの強化トレーニングを行い各ペアの改善点などを確認しながら次のステップに向けての訓練に臨んだ。Disaster unitは、次世代パピーの馴致トレーニングと各unitごとに資材置き場内で、いくつかの設定で基礎と捜索精度の向上の為の訓練を行った。
On Sunday, June 22, 2025, a Trailing / Disaster / HRD training session was held. Considering the rising temperatures, participants assembled at 5:30 AM at the headquarters materials yard, and training began shortly after.
The Trailing unit conducted both foundational training and step-up scenario exercises in an urban environment, tailored to each team’s current challenges.
The HRD unit, following a similar setup as in the previous session, trained in areas simulating landslide conditions and focused on reinforcing TFR under various environmental settings. Each team reviewed areas for improvement and continued training toward the next stage.
The Disaster unit conducted habituation training for next-generation puppies and held various scenario-based training sessions within the materials yard. Each unit worked on enhancing both foundational skills and overall search accuracy.

Trailing training

ネガティブの確認

セントアーティクルの訓練段階で高いモチベーションを維持しながら要救助者に到達する中で、臭跡の拡散による犬のネガティブ反応を読み取るハンドラースキル向上の為の設定訓練を行いました。犬が明確なネガティブを出す場合と環境条件によりハンドラーが判断し、その先の捜索精度を高める事は重要ですが非常に難易度の高い訓練になります。ポジティブ反応が強い分、ネガティブ反応が確認できるまで一定の距離の移動が発生するケースもあり、ハンドラーの見極めが大切ですある。
During the scent article training phase, scenario-based exercises were conducted to help handlers improve their ability to interpret negative reactions caused by scent dispersion, while maintaining high motivation in the dogs as they moved toward the victim.
It is crucial—though highly challenging—for handlers to make accurate judgments when dogs clearly indicate a negative or when environmental factors obscure such responses. Enhancing search accuracy beyond that point depends heavily on this skill.
Because dogs often show strong positive drive, there are cases where a certain distance must be covered before a clear negative reaction appears, making the handler’s discernment all the more important.

HRD training

環境設定は、前回と同様の土砂災害想定として、捜索設定エリアに原臭を5㎝程度の深さに設置し、約1時間後に各unitごとに捜索を開始した。気温26℃・晴れ・湿度約60％・南東の風約2m。
The environmental setup was the same as in the previous session, simulating a landslide scenario. The target scent was buried approximately 5 cm deep in the designated search area, and each unit began their search about one hour later. The weather conditions were: 26°C, sunny, approximately 60% humidity, with a southeast wind at about 2 meters per second.

土砂災害想定

今回の設定は、ホットポイントからの傾斜の方向と風の方向が真逆であったが、3unit共に同様に反応を見せた。TFRに至るまでに時間を要する場面は見られるもののホットポイントへの反応はハンドラーにも見極められる明確なものであった。
In this session, the slope direction from the hot point was directly opposite to the wind direction. Despite this, all three units showed similar reactions. While there were instances where it took time to reach the TFR, the dogs’ responses to the hot point were clear enough for the handlers to recognize with confidence.

TFR training

環境設定を変更したTFRの訓練を行った。埋没想定の訓練とは違い匂いの大きさが小さい事もあり丁寧に捜索をする必要がある。
TFR training was conducted under altered environmental conditions. Unlike the buried scent scenarios, the smaller scent signature required the dogs to perform more deliberate and careful searches.

状況判断でオフリードとオンリードの判断をハンドラーが行い、犬の特性に合わせて捜索を実行する事で捜索の精度を向上させることができる。
Handlers made situational decisions on whether to conduct the search off-lead or on-lead, and by adapting to each dog’s individual characteristics, they were able to enhance the overall search accuracy.

Disaster training

今日の訓練会のスタートは、次世代のサーチドッグの馴致トレーニングから始まった。ジャーマンシェパードドッグ5か月の女の子は、メンバー全員とのコミュニケーションに躊躇なく積極的にアプローチができた。
Today’s training session began with habituation training for a next-generation search dog. A 5-month-old female German Shepherd showed no hesitation in actively approaching and interacting with all members, demonstrating a strong willingness to communicate.

基礎訓練

環境設定を変えながらのモチベーションの向上を目的とした基礎訓練を行った。
Foundational training was conducted with the goal of enhancing motivation, while varying the environmental settings throughout the session.

要救助者にたいしての素早い移動と速やかなバークアラートによる告知を繰り返し行い達成感のある訓練で終わることができた。
The dog repeatedly executed rapid approaches toward the victim followed by prompt bark alerts, allowing the session to conclude on a positive and rewarding note.

障害物による遮断状態の告知

要救助者へ到達できない状況下での告知に関して、前回の訓練でも取り組んだが、今回も違う設定での捜索で告知の強化を行った。
Notification training in situations where the dog could not physically reach the victim was also addressed in the previous session. This time, we reinforced the alert behavior through a different search scenario, further strengthening the dog’s response.

オフリードとオンリードの2つの捜索スタイルで障害物に遮断されていたり、要救助者との距離間のある状況下での告知の訓練を行い、前回よりもスムーズに告知が可能となっていた。
Alert training was conducted using both off-lead and on-lead search styles in scenarios where the victim was either obstructed by barriers or positioned at a distance. Compared to the previous session, the dogs were able to give alerts more smoothly in these situations.
