NSA Trailing/Disaster/HRD Training

2026年3月22日（日曜日）、Trailing／Disaster／HRD訓練会を開催しました。
今回も、訓練補助にご協力いただける方々にご参加いただき、Trailingではヘルパーの協力のもとトレーニングを実施しました。
Trailingでは、基礎となるモチベーションランを含めた物品と臭跡の関連付けの確認に加え、先日の実働での結果を踏まえ、屈折やオープンスペースにおける臭跡への反応、ディストラクション環境下でのハンドリングなどを設定し訓練を行いました。
HRDでは、セントコーンを捉えやすい設定と、建物内の比較的大きな空間に設定された原臭へのアプローチについて検証を行いました。
Disasterでは、捜索エリア内に複数の要救助者が存在する条件下で、高所設定およびセントプールの設定を取り入れたトレーニングを実施しました。
On March 22, 2026 (Sunday), an NSA Trailing / Disaster / HRD training session was conducted.
As with previous sessions, we were supported by participants assisting with the training, and in the Trailing component, exercises were carried out with the cooperation of helpers.
In the Trailing training, we focused on confirming the association between articles and scent tracks, including foundational motivation runs. Based on the results of recent operational deployments, training scenarios were designed to include turns, scent work in open spaces, and handling under distraction environments.
In the HRD training, we conducted verification exercises focusing on setups that allow dogs to easily detect the scent cone, as well as approaches to primary odor sources placed within relatively large indoor spaces.
In the Disaster training, exercises were conducted under conditions where multiple victims were present within the search area, incorporating elevated search scenarios and scent pool conditions.

Trailing Unit

ディストラクションに強いユニットを目指すためにも、基礎トレーニングにおける臭跡と物品の関連付けをより一層強化し、意欲と集中力の向上を図っていきたいと考えます。
To develop units that are resilient to distractions, we aim to further strengthen the association between scent tracks and articles in foundational training, while enhancing the dogs’ motivation and concentration.

ハンドラーは屈折やオープンスペースにおいて、犬が示すネガティブ反応の読み取りは、捜索精度に直結する重要な要素であることから、安定したハンドリングの確立を目指していきたいと考えます。
Handlers must accurately interpret the dogs’ negative responses when working in turns and open areas, as this is a critical factor that directly impacts search accuracy.
For this reason, we aim to establish stable and consistent handling skills.

HRD Unit

第1捜索ポイントは、風の流れを確認することでピンポイントでのTFRが可能な設定とし、第2捜索ポイントは、建物内の比較的大きな空間における捜索としました。
特に第2捜索ポイントは、捜索エリア全体がセントプールの状況であったため、1頭目の捜索は難易度が高く、捜索時間も長くなりましたが、最後まで集中を切らすことなくソースへのTFRを行うことができていました。また、化学的要素を含む混合臭の中での捜索設定でしたが、すべての犬が適切に識別できていました。
For the first search point, the setup allowed for pinpoint TFR (Trained Final Response) by utilizing and confirming the wind direction.
The second search point involved a search conducted within a relatively large indoor space.
At the second search point in particular, the entire search area was affected by scent pooling conditions, which increased the level of difficulty for the first dog and resulted in a longer search time. However, the dog maintained focus throughout and was able to successfully perform a TFR at the source.
Additionally, although the scenario involved mixed odors with chemical elements, all dogs were able to accurately discriminate and identify the target odor.

Disaster Unit

至近距離に要救助者が2名存在する設定としました。
それぞれに高さの違いがあり、かつセントプールが発生しやすい状況下ではありましたが、設定からの時間経過が短かったこともあり、問題なく告知を行うことができていました。また、2階へのアプローチや足場の問題など、設定条件については、今後も見直しを行いながら進めていく必要があると感じました。
A scenario was set with two victims located in close proximity.
Each victim was positioned at a different height, and the conditions were such that scent pooling was likely to occur. However, due to the relatively short time elapsed since the setup, all dogs were able to provide clear and accurate alerts without difficulty.
Additionally, factors such as access to the second floor and footing conditions were identified as important elements of the setup, and it was recognized that these conditions should continue to be reviewed and refined in future training.
