NSA Trailing/Disaster/HRD Training

2024年8月11日（日曜日）AM5:00よりTrailing/Disaster/HRD 訓練会を開催しました。
On August 11, 2024 (Sunday), Trailing, Disaster Search, and HRD training were conducted beginning at 05:00 AM.

Trailing Unit

Trailingは、認定犬と適性試験を目指すビギナーペアごとの設定を行い、現状の確認と今後のステップアップの進め方が見えてきました。河川敷のキャンプ場の設定は、短い距離ながら環境刺激が高い中でのトレーリングでしたので難易度が高く、今後の訓練の中でもディストラクションの中での設定を積極的に取り入れながら練度を高めていきたいと思います。ビギナーペアは臭跡へのポジティブ反応が分かり易くなっていますが、ネガティブの反応を今以上に明確な反応としてハンドラーが捉えられるようにしていく必要があるようです。
In the Trailing training, scenarios were prepared for both certified dogs and beginner pairs preparing for the aptitude test, allowing the team to assess current performance and clarify the next steps in training progression.
The riverside campsite scenario presented short trail distances but a high level of environmental distractions, which increased the training difficulty. Future training will continue to incorporate distraction-rich environments to further improve trailing performance.
For the beginner pairs, positive trail recognition has become clearer. However, handlers must continue developing their ability to accurately recognize and interpret negative indications.

HRD Unit

HRDは、捜索エリアをどのように捜索するのか？という戦略を立て、風の流れなどを読みながら犬をハンドリングする難しさを訓練の中で習得し実働に活かせるように進めています。
In the HRD training, the teams worked on establishing search strategies for effectively covering the search area.
The exercises emphasized the challenge of handling the dog while reading wind direction and scent movement, and these skills are being developed so they can be applied in real operational search situations.

原臭からのセントコーンに対しての犬なりの捜索だけではなく、犬の反応を読み解きながらのエリアの攻略は、気温・湿度・地形などにより異なる為に、その時々の判断が重要になります。また原臭の大きさなどにも犬の反応の変化が出ますので今後も、突き詰めていきましょう。
In HRD work, it is not enough for the dog to search solely on the scent cone from the primary odor source. The handler must also interpret the dog’s responses and make tactical decisions on how to work the search area. Because these variables are influenced by temperature, humidity, and terrain, situational judgment is critical.
In addition, the size of the primary odor source can affect the dog’s response, and this is a point we will continue to examine in greater depth.

Disaster Unit

Disasterは、6時を過ぎると気温も高く車内待機が長くなる事で捜索にも影響が出てくるほどでした。
In the Disaster training, temperatures increased rapidly after 06:00, and the extended waiting time for the dogs inside the vehicles began to have an observable impact on their search performance.

日陰でもヘルパーの設定により、難易度が高くなりましたが、諦めることなく最後までやり切れた事や、初歩犬には、また1つの進歩も見られました。実働犬は、エリアのオフリード捜索だけではなくオンリードでのピンポイントの捜索なども訓練の中に取り入れています。
Even in shaded environments, the helper placements created a higher level of search difficulty. Nevertheless, the dogs showed persistence and successfully completed the tasks. For the beginner dogs, this session also demonstrated clear progress.
For the operational dogs, training included not only off-lead area searches, but also on-lead pinpoint search exercises, helping to further develop their operational search capabilities.
